Senior Project Manager IT / Software
Full-time | Hybrid/remote possible | Austria
Your role
As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful implementation of complex IT and software projects in a multi-stakeholder environment.
You select the appropriate process model depending on the project context and preferentially use agile project management methods where they add value.
You don’t see project management as a dogma, but rather as a toolbox, and you ensure that projects are implemented in a predictable, transparent, and effective manner—regardless of whether the approach is agile, classic, or hybrid.
Your focus will be on projects in the field of eMobility and on projects related to our POS software solution, where you will successfully balance technical requirements, customer expectations, and business objectives.
Your responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for planning, managing, and implementing complex IT and software projects
- Auswahl und Anwendung geeigneter Projektmanagement-Methoden (agil, klassisch, hybrid) je nach Projektanforderung
- Preferred use of agile methods to manage implementation, priorities, and delivery capability
- Close collaboration with product owners, development teams, and specialist departments
- Structuring and clarifying requirements and ensuring feasible prioritization
- Control of time, budget, quality, risks, and dependencies
- Active stakeholder management at technical and management level
- Preparation of decision-making bases, status reports, and reviews
- Moderation of project-related formats and workshops
- Contribution to the further development of project management standards, tools, and best practices
Your profile
- Several years of experience as a Senior Project Manager in the IT or software environment
- Confident use of various project management methods
- Practical experience in applying agile PM methods (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Scrumban)
- Ability to combine agile and traditional approaches in a meaningful way
- Good technical understanding of software and integration projects
- Experience with common project and collaboration tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Confluence, M365)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Structured, solution-oriented, and independent approach to work
- Excellent knowledge of German and English
Nice to have:
- PM or agile certifications (IPMA, PMP, Scrum, SAFe, etc.)
- Experience in complex or regulated project environments

Salary & general conditions
- Annual gross salary: up to EUR 75,000 gross/year on a full-time basis (depending on experience, responsibilities, and range of methods)
- Willingness to pay above market rate for candidates with the right qualifications
- No all-in contract
- Flexible working hours and the option to work from home
- Office in Steyr, Upper Austria
